MINDFULNESS?

People practice mindfulness for a variety of reasons, and underlying them is the intention to alleviate suffering, generate peace, happiness, health, and increase well-being in their lives.

TESTIMONIALS-LATINE COMMUNITY

These testimonials arose from the genuine desire of our voices to share what we learned. What you’ll see is not the result of a one-time mindfulness session or an isolated course, but rather the fruit of our sustained work; the result of our community’s journey. It’s the sound of understanding what it means to practice mindfulness in our daily lives as human beings and as a Latine community in the U.S. in this era.

what is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the transformative path that invites us to be in the only moment any of us ever has, the present moment, this one. Mindfulness is an invitation for us to befriend ourselves and move from automatic pilot to the experience of being awake, alive, and aware. This includes perceiving feelings, emotions, thoughts, and body sensations arising in the present moment without judgment.

Widely studied scientifically, the concept of mindfulness appears in contemporary western culture inspired by ancestral knowledge.

Mindfulness offers an accessible way of feeling connected to our lives, inner selves, and community, even in challenging situations; it is a journey worth taking.
